Norman Junior Emanuel

October 23, 1937 - February 28, 2022

Mr. Norman J. Emanuel (N.J.) age 84 of Ellicott City, Maryland departed his earthly home on February 28, 2022. Mr. Emanuel is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dafene O. Emanuel; one son, Dana L. Emanuel (Sue) of Maryland; two granddaughters Elizabeth Emanuel and Dana Ann Barnette, both of Maryland; one grandson, Kevin Barnette of Pennsylvania; one great grandson, Aidan Liebman; one brother Christopher Emanuel of Maryland; three sisters, Patricia Westfall of Maryland; Norma Lee Griffin of Delaware; Joan Sprouse and a host of extended family and friends. Norman’s parents were the late Arthur Norman Emanuel and Savannah H. Emanuel, both of the Rennert community of Lumberton, North Carolina. Mr. Norman Emanuel (N.J.) was owner and founder of Emanuel Tire Family of Companies serving clients nationally and internationally. Norm’s innovative ideas have made him an acclaimed pioneer and the leader in the tire shredding and recycling businesses throughout the U.S.A. as well as internationally. Norman was well-known and admired in the National Tire Association family. His ideas and methods for improving quality, efficiency and the environment have been applauded and utilized since the 1957 inception of Emanuel Tire.
